News and Updates

I know we've been quiet in socials land, but we've been busy bees over here! We will be at the Tailored Homeschool convention May 3rd with some new stickers featuring Olivia and Autum!

Just to give readers an update, a sequel to Olivia the Brave and Autumn the Fierce is currently being proof read.

Additionally, a third book in the Olivia the Brave series is nearly finished--this one being co-authored with a talented younger author--and a fourth book has been started.

Big things are on the horizon for Olivia Hesselgrove. Where will she go in her next couple of adventures? Stay tuned.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Olivia was not brave and Autumn was not fierce, yet they were commissioned by the Great King for His purposes. It took some time for them to realize and accept this. In the beginning, they were unwilling and confused. Page after-action turning page we follow Olivia and Autumn as they grow in bravery and fierceness and in the knowledge that the Great King has chosen them to overcome their own fears and inadequacies to fulfill this quest.

This Young Adult book was not my usual genre. In fact, what genre is it? Science Fiction? Fantasy? Adventure? Coming of Age? There are aspects of all these genres in this present-day saga.

Children of all ages will enjoy this book and parents will enjoy reading it aloud to their children. They will all ask themselves, what would I do if I were Olivia? How would I respond if I were Autumn?

Cudos to J. Jury for bringing all these genres together, as well as the age-old battle between good and evil.

Be brave.

But also, be kind.

I have added a Book Reviews page to show the reviews that come in from Amazon.

Additionally, a very thorough review has been given written by Linda Jinkens, an accomplished writer whose reviews and editorials have been printed in several Christian publications. Here is her Official Review of Olivia the Brave and Autumn the Fierce.

I heard this was a good book for kids age 10 and up, so I decided to read it to see if my grandkids might like it. I was intrigued that it is based upon the biblical story of Gideon. I was surprised, therefore, to find this children's book held my attention until the end... Parents would like the positive values of overcoming fear, knowing God is there to help, putting others before self, realizing each person has great worth, and finding adventure in life. I appreciated the large print in the book! Easy on the eyes!

Loved the twists and turns as Autumn and Olivia went on a great adventure. It shows how helping others achieve greatness to go above and beyond with the Lord's help to lead our paths.

Chapters 20 and 22 of Olivia the Brave and Autumn the Fierce were written in the Amsterdam airport during an eighteen hour layover.

We love reading books with our kids at night once they are tucked into bed. We purchased this book last week and my husband started reading it to our three children (9, 6, 4). They talked about the next day and were so excited to read more! Which says a lot, because our kids already love great stories and adventures.

Did you know that Olivia the Brave and Autumn the Fierce was printed with larger font and wider line spacing than is traditionally used in published books? This was done to allow for easier reading for dyslexics and others who struggle with reading. We want everyone to be able to read and enjoy the Olivia the Brave stories!
